RE: Leveling an RV

I built my own set of levelaires and use them every time. I use a cordless compressor from walmart. Just set them on the ground, back over them and fill to level. Easier then dealing with carrying blocks around and then I can't get them at the exact height I want

RE: Leaving Trailer Plugged In

We leave ours plugged in all the time. We run a dehumidifier we puchased from Lowe's. It's very humid here in Alabama.

RE: Leveling

I made a set of air bag levels like levelair sold at one time . Do a search under "air levelers" and there is someone who posted instructions to make them. Best way to level I've found.

RE: crossroads cruiser.

This is our 2nd Crossroads product we have a 08 CF32BL since feb. We love it. Our 1st was a Sunset Trail TT and we were very satisfied but didn't have any closet space.Crossroads warranty and ease of getting things fixed are excellent.

RE: Crossroads cruiser option of thermopane windows ??

Our 08 Cruiser CF32BL came in 3 weeks ago and I paid around $1000 for this option. I am really glad we got it with the dual pane windows. I am suprised that someone got one with nothing but problems. This is our 2nd Crossroads. Our TT was flawless and never had any major problems. Warranty issues were taken care of without any stress to me. I am very satisfied with our new 5er. The windows are worth the extra money.

RE: hot water tank question for travel trailer

If your hot water tank has space beside it like our 1st TT it was under the sofa Lowe's sells some small 110volt water heaters that may do the trick. You would have to run a seperate electric line to the box where you plug the TT in at.This setup would only work if you are planning to stay in one place. A friend did this and it worked great.

RE: What can I Tow with my 2500 Ram????

We have an 03 Dodge CTD 2wd quad cab and we are going from a TT to a 5er. We ordered a Crossroads Cruiser CF32BH. Several people pull this particular model with a 3/4 ton P/U. and have no problems. You can go to Crossroadsrv.com and browse the site.

RE: Transfering fifth wheel.

I just bought the no drill brackets for my dodge from Etrailer.com they had the best prices and free shipping. The brackets sandwich the frame in between and are very secure. I was very impressed with the installation the part number is 50040

RE: Anyone own Sunset Trails 27 RB?

we own a 07 ST29RL and absolutely love it for recreational camping. We made a 6000 mile trip in the summer zero problems. I highly recomend the TT. We are going to fulltime so we are either going to sell ours or trade it in due to lack of closet space as it only has 2 shirt closets and the wife needs to hang dresses. So we are getting a 5th wheel. I would not own any other kind of TT if we weren't fulltiming.

I thought about a roll of carpet or floor shield self adhering film that is for temporary carpet protection but haven't tried it yet.

RE: Newbie Help Please - Dodge Ram Towing Capacity Confusion!

The way to tell what engine you have is the 8th digit from the left in the vin number. If it is the letter C then its the H.O. If its number 6 then its a standard engine

RE: Newbie Help Please - Dodge Ram Towing Capacity Confusion!

I went to www.dodge.com/towing and found your truck and it states you can haul 13,050 lbs so the 5th wheel you are looking at is well within your range. Sorry for the misinformation and appreciate the correction buy other readers.

RE: Newbie Help Please - Dodge Ram Towing Capacity Confusion!

The GVWR of the unit we are purchasing is 11935 but the UVGW is 8500 and pin weight is 1775 according to hauling capacity of the 03 dodge I should be within acceptable limits. Check hitch weight and go from there you probably will be ok.

RE: Newbie Help Please - Dodge Ram Towing Capacity Confusion!

I have an 03 Dodge like yours except it is a 2WD model. The HO engine only came in manual transmission trucks. The towing capacity of my truck is around 10,600 lbs . The 5th wheel we are purchasing is a Cruiser by Crossroads model CF32BL. Its almost 35ft long. The truck can handle this fine. Check the sticker inside the 5th wheel that shows the weight of unit at delivery. It should be in the door of one of the kitchen cabinet. It is refered to as UVGW If I remember correctly You maybe able to handle it as the number you refer to is loaded to the max which you may never do. For example the cruiser at delivery is around 8500 lbs but loaded out is over 11,000 so we will make sure we dont load it to the max.I may be mistaken but this is how a relative who has had a lot of RV's explained it.
